How It Works

Getting your pass

Season Pass

Bought online

Print your receipt or have it visible on your phone for the attendant at your first visit. They will hand you a beach sticker for your vehicle. Season passes are only handed out at the beach once it opens for the season.

Day Pass

Valid the day you buy it

A daily parking pass is only valid on the day of purchase. Show the attendant your receipt and they will provide a dated day pass — keep it visible on your dashboard for the whole visit.

Cash or check

Passes can also be bought at the beach with cash or check. Make checks payable to the Town of Charlotte and print a phone number on the check. Card payments at the gate are in the works.

Before You Go

Beach rules

These keep the beach clean and safe for everyone. The attendant on duty handles any infractions.

  • A current beach pass must be attached to your front left bumper at all times.
  • Swimming is unsupervised and at the risk of the individual user.
  • Dogs and other pets are not allowed at the beach or surrounding facilities — including the park area, tennis courts, playground, and ball fields.
  • Alcohol is permitted, but kegs and bulk containers larger than one gallon are prohibited.
  • Glass bottles are not allowed at the beach.
  • Open fires are permitted only in the BBQ grills in the picnic area.
  • Boats are not allowed in the swimming area — launch canoes and kayaks from the southern section of the beachfront.
  • Tennis courts are first-come, first-served unless reserved for a recreation program.
  • Carry in, carry out. There is no parking on either side of Lake Road.
